My Professional Journey (The “Geeky” Details)
Before retiring in 2022, I was blessed to spend decades working in fields I genuinely loved. I spent many wonderful years at the University of North Carolina’s Computer Science department, wrapping up a career that spanned a little bit of everything in the tech and media worlds:
- Media Production: Recording studios, TV stations, and video production/directing.
- Technology & Infrastructure: Computer science, information technology, networking, telecommunications, and cybersecurity.
What Keeps Me Busy Now
Retirement hasn’t slowed me down. Today, I split my time between owning two companies and pursuing my absolute biggest passion: exploring the globe.

- Global Travel: Whether discovering a new city or returning to a favorite destination, traveling and photography are what truly inspire me.
